Saint Louis (February 2009) - The Cooperative Council for Oklahoma School Administration (CCOSA) has partnered with SchoolReach as their preferred parent notification service. As part of this agreement, CCOSA members, including the Oklahoma Association of Elementary School Principals, the Oklahoma Association of Secondary School Principals and the Oklahoma Association of School Administrators will receive an exclusive discount for the SchoolReach service. Additionally, SchoolReach will serve as a premier sponsor of CCOSA events throughout the year.
"We are pleased to partner with SchoolReach to help us improve communications with parents across Oklahoma," said Steven Crawford, Executive Director for CCOSA. "The SchoolReach program strengthens our commitment to help schools improve their communication with parents. The Oklahoma Association of Career and Technology Education (OKACTE) is also partnering with us to provide schools with an affordable communication tool. We hope that our districts and schools take full advantage of the many benefits SchoolReach offers."
SchoolReach allows an administrator to record a brief message, which will be sent to an extensive, or selective, list of parents simultaneously. Messages can be delivered through voice, email, or text messaging. Once the message is recorded, the completed process takes only minutes to reach parents. The system generates a report that shows detailed data, such as which contacts received the message, who listened to the whole message and when the message was sent to an answering machine. Replacing older forms of communication, such as phone trees and sending notes home with students, the system allows for beneficial, timely distribution of vital information.
"The SchoolReach system is the ideal way for schools to provide parents with updates, such as school closings, meeting reminders and even rumor abatement," said Robert C. Vogel, Director of Educational Marketing and Partnership Development for SchoolReach. "The system also performs extremely well in emergency situations, like lockdowns, when every second is critical."
