Overview: The Message Center is the
area within SchoolReach
where users record, store, and manage audio recordings. SchoolReach
allows users to create a “library” of messages which can be used for repeated
needs or saved for audit or tracking purposes.
Creating Messages-3 Easy Ways:
SchoolReach provides three simple ways to create an audio message
for broadcast...
-
Toll Free Record and Launch Line: The Toll Free Record and
Launch line allows users to record and send messages from
any touch tone phone. Users can record, replay, delete and
re-record messages as needed.
-
Wav File Upload: Recordings created on a PC or at a recording
studio can be uploaded as .wav files with a few key strokes. This
allows you to make use of recording capabilities at your school or
use professionally recorded messages.
-
Text-to-Speech Utility: SchoolReach offers
a text-to-speech (TTS) utility
that allows users to convert typed messages into a
computer generated voice, with an option for a male or
female voice. TTS can be used to create messages in the event your
local phone system is down, or for other situations where a
human voice is not preferred.
Message Storage: SchoolReach allows up
to 99 different pre-recorded messages to be stored in the Message
Center. Simple commands allow users to preview, save, download,
rename, and delete recordings.
Alternate Message: The Message Center
allows users to create
messages where call recipients can be prompted to hear recordings in
an alternate language, ex. Spanish.
Live vs. Machine Message
Differentiation: SchoolReach has the ability to
deliver separate messages to live and machine answers in the same
broadcast. This feature is most commonly used where the live answer
message includes a call-to-action, ex. Press 1 to confirm RSVP.
Those who hear such messages through an answering machine can not
Press 1, so a separate recording is created to address their needs
and options. |
